It all began in Montreal in 2019, driven by a striking observation. Across Canada, professionals looked remarkably uniform, wearing the exact same shoes with no real distinction. Almost all of these brands came from abroad, sold at high prices by international giants who repatriate their profits overseas while creating very few local jobs. Yet, despite the steep price tags, the outcome remained the same: footwear that wore down quickly, with no practical way to properly maintain or restore it.
The status quo was no longer an option. A deep conviction took root: Canada deserved its own powerhouse luxury footwear brand.
Thus, SIGFRIED YVAN was born to rewrite the rules.
From day one, our mission has been twofold. First, to offer Canadian professionals an exceptional alternative: creations crafted from the finest leathers, blending absolute comfort with uncompromising durability.
